Radiography of my life

I am less than 30, too young for many, and too old for some others, but it depends on who you compare me with, doesn’t it?

I am here to talk about me, to describe myself, but please notice that I have not used the word ‘biography’ or even ‘autobiography’, but ‘radiography’ because I am not going to write about what I have done in life. I will write about what life has done to me instead. It is a personal trip to my deep inside instead of travelling around me.

Probably, that is not interesting for anyone, but at least it is interesting for me, and I am pretty sure that it could be a great opportunity for everyone to come with me in this travel and figure out what we have in common and what not.

As I have said before, I am almost 30, and I have been studying for more than 20 years, it means, I have received an education based on what people think is important in life. When I say people, I am trying to say that I have nothing to do on which subject or topics should I learn. That is the way it is. Right or wrong? We will see.

After choosing science branch of education, I decided to learn how to become an architect. Of course, before starting your career, you just have an unreal image of what being an architect means. Currently, after passing my final project and getting my degree, I still have no idea of what is the actual meaning of my profession.

As a Spaniard, I grew up learning my mother tongue and a little bit of English and German. As you can see here, my high rates on high school did not assure me any knowledge about foreign languages. It is a pity, I know. But what can I do?

However, apart from my lack of language skills, I found a job in Spain, doing what I have studied for. The economical situation forced me to accept several contracts, earning less than I should. That is fair enough. But maybe, it is not so fair to feel forced to leave your job, because the situation is so bad that you are not learning anymore, and everyday could be the last one. Instead of keeping on earning and enjoying doing nothing, I decided to leave my job and try a new adventure, of course, travelling abroad.

Easy to say, very difficult to reach. Travelling abroad? First of all, you have to improve your language skills, you have to prepare yourself to leave everything you have, and then, hurry up! because youth slips through your fingers.

Learn how to make a good CV in order to succeed, prepare your application letter, and after that try to resume your professional background. Once you have done everything, you have to start sending e-mails to every chance you find, wherever it is.

By the way, let me introduce you to the real world, where every minute without working is a minute you are losing money. Because your flat worths money, food and clothes as well, and of course petrol and language school.

As a conclusion, we could say that if you have done everything you could in order to find a good job and live your life without financial problems, you will get an amazing opportunity to start again in another country, learning a new way of working and building, while fighting against language difficulties. And that is not all, I am leaving my relatives in Spain, a country with a huge crisis, where well-educated people are flying away. It means, those people whose education they have paid for are very well prepared to help improving their country. But instead of that, they move abroad and use these acknowledges to improve other countries status.

Once I understood the size of this problem, I decided to change my mind and my personal goals again. I preferred to stay here, and give my best in order to find another way of helping. In this case, I had to make an effort to stay at home, to start my own business here and accept my new nickname, “the crazy one!”, the stupid one that did not want to scape from his country, but wanted to choose the best moment for travelling abroad by himself.

What have we done wrong? Or better said, what are we still doing wrong? If someone knows the answer, please help us! And, please, hurry up! We really need to find a solution.
